What to Include in a Bug Report
Email [email protected] with enough detail to reproduce the problem.
For checker bugs
If a card the checker draws differs from what a platform actually shows, the og:image is measured wrongly, a tag the page sends is listed as missing, or the generator emits something a platform rejects, send:
- The URL you checked, or the pasted HTML if you used the paste tab.
- A screenshot of the real card on the platform in question, with the date; layouts change and the drawings are kept current from screenshots like yours.
- Whether the page sets its tags with JavaScript, if you know; that is the usual reason a tag is missing from the report.
Platform rules that moved
Image limits, truncation lengths and layouts on this site follow each platform's documentation and observed behaviour at the time of writing. When a platform changes (X has changed its card layout more than once), a note with a screenshot and the date gets the rule and the drawing updated.
For everything else
Questions about how the fallbacks are resolved, corrections to the Open Graph guide, or a note that something written here is out of date all go to the same address. Requests for og:image generation, scheduled monitoring, accounts, or posting to a platform on your behalf will get a friendly no; the about page explains the boundaries. How submitted URLs are handled is covered in the privacy policy.
There is no form on this page on purpose: a form needs spam protection, and spam protection means loading a third-party script on a site that otherwise loads none.
Replies usually go out within a few days. If your message includes a URL for debugging, it gets read and then deleted, not kept as data.
